The 9060 was born in 2023 as a reinterpretation of the 990v6. New Balance abandons minimalist codes to return to thick layers, textured materials, and the constructive density of the 2000s. The Washed Burgundy U9060VNA embodies this philosophy in a shade that ages well; the leather develops a patina, while the suede breathes differently depending on the angle.

Three materials make up the upper: grain leather, suede, and breathable mesh. The rubber sole absorbs impact without harshness. The stitching remains visible, while contrasts in texture create volume without bulk. Washed Burgundy is the color that does not shout but gets noticed everywhere; it pairs with black jeans as easily as with beige, develops a better patina than black, and lasts better than red.
